Recipe Ingredients
  • basic ingredients 200g of Hanwoo Top inside round  1 onion  1 shiitake mushroom 
  • meat seasoning ingredients soy sauce 8T  sugar 2t  Mirim 2t 
  • Red pepper paste mayo sauce ingredients red pepper paste 1t  mayonnaise 3t  lime juice 1t 

Cook Order

  • 1.  Finely chop the Hanwoo round and marinate it with half of a juiced onion. Store in the refrigerator.
  • 2.  Take out the marinated beef and knead it well to ensure the seasoning is fully absorbed.
  • 3.  In a preheated pan, add olive oil and sauté the remaining half of the chopped onion until translucent. Then, add chopped shiitake mushrooms, salt, and pepper, and continue sautéing.
  • 4.  Spread out Step 2's beef in the pan and cook thoroughly without moisture until evenly browned. Let it cool slightly.
  • 5.  Fill the bao buns with Step 3 and Step 4’s mixture, then toast in a preheated oven until the surface becomes lightly crisp.
  • 6.  Add the gochujang mayo sauce and top with chopped scallions and sliced perilla leaves before serving.
