- 500g Hanwoo inside round
- 1 onion
- Half a piece of ginger
- Lemongrass
- 4 garlic cloves
- 4 red peppers
- Cooking oil
- Salt
- 1tsp coconut sugar
- Star anise
- Cinnamon
- Clove
- Black pepper
- Tumeric powder
- 400ml coconut milk
- Tamarind paste
- Coconut powder
- Kaffir lime leaves
- Galangal
- Kecap manis
Cook Order
- In grinder, blend the onion, ginger, lemongrass, red peppers, amd garlic cloves until a smooth paste forms.
- Cut the Hanwoo into bite-sized pieces
- Heat some cooking oil in a pan, add the paste, and lightly stir-fry.
- Add the spices and continue to stir-fry for a few more minutes.
- Add the bite-sized Hanwoo beef pieces to the pan and stir-fry until well-coated.
- Pour in the coconut milk and a litel water, Then add the tamarind paste and turmeric powder.
- Allow the dish to simmer gently for about an hour.
